The CDA/FCCPC requires that each student undergo a two hour on-site observation in an infant/toddler setting during their course. As this course has expanded, so has our need for more observers across the states. If you have a desire to help a student develop professionally and are qualified, you may be the perfect candidate.

CDA/FCCPC Observers Must hold one of the Educational Qualifications: 

Minimally, candidates must:

  • Have an active national Early Childhood Credential or Birth to Five FCCPC, (4) years of experience* working with children ages birth through eight, and two years of responsibility for the professional growth of another adult; or 
  • Associate’s level degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field two years of experience working with children ages birth through eight, and two years of responsibility for the professional growth of another adult; or
  • A bachelor’s level degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field, one year experience working with children ages birth through eight, and one year of responsibility for the professional growth of another adult.

How to Become an Observer

  1. Apply below. If approved, the applicant will become an LCS/FLOCS Observer.
  2. Should a observation need arise within your geographic area, the course instructor will contact you.
