The story of the prophet Samuel as a child demonstrates the need for Christian teachers in the lives of children. Samuel was brought to the temple to live under the leadership of Eli, the priest at a very young age, but when God called out Samuel’s name, Samuel did not recognize God’s voice. Samuel’s teacher, Eli had to help Samuel understand that it was God’s voice. It also took Eli to help Samuel to understand how to respond.
LCS Missions assists teachers in presenting simple projects to children of ALL ages in order to help them understand how to respond to God’s voice in helping others around the world by praying, giving, and going. Our projects focus specifically on helping other children in areas of the world who have needs that are often physical, financial, in addition to spiritual. Teachers can teach students about other countries, economies, and cultures, while praying for, and supporting missionaries around the world.
We have raised money to help schools impacted by natural disasters like Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Michael, supported refugee programs in various countries, supported missionary-established schools, and sent school supplies to Christian schools serving impoverished children in many countries.
Our Current Projects
The League of Christian Schools is collecting box tops to help one of our own international schools, St. Croix Christian Academy, which serves over 200 students on the island of St. Croix. Outside of tourism, the island communities are often isolated and limited in resources. One great program, BOX TOPS for EDUCATION, provides $0.10 for every participating box top to be used by the school to purchase various products to help the school, including education technology. The island of St. Croix only has 62,000 inhabitants, which results in minimal impact on a program like this. However, by clipping the box tops and packaging of hundreds of products, and sending them to the LCS office, you too can have an impact in the lives of children who are being taught God’s word daily.
What Can You Do?
We understand that most schools already participate in this program to benefit the local school. Will your school be willing to ‘tithe’ 1/10th of your collected box tops to help a school in need? Please consider what a small sacrifice can do to advance the Kingdom of Heaven.
Box Tops are EVERYWHERE. Just look for the Box Tops for Education logo. For a complete listing of products visit the link at the top of this page.
Clip the label of the product, and send them to:
