On Friday, April 19, the U.S. Department of Ed issued its new Title IX rule. The new rule protects LGBTQI+ students and teachers, as well as pregnant students and teachers. The new rule falls under the Civil Rights law that prevents sex-based discrimination in programs that receive federal funds. School Readiness funding is federal funds.
