The 62nd State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida was held March 28-30 at The Lakeland Center.
We are proud of Grayson Huntsinger of Lakeland Grace Academy, a FLOCS member school in Lakeland. Grayson is in 11th grade and is pictured here with ther volunteer Science Teacher. She took 1st place in Engineering and then won the state Grand Award, meaning her project won above all other first place winners. She won an invitation to the 2 international science fairs with all expenses paid to Houston Texas, and the Intel Los Angeles Science Fair. She was also awarded a Grand Award of $1,000; $250 from Florida Engineering Foundation; $300 from Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; $8,000 four-year scholarship to New College of Florida.
